Wintec 2000 Dressage
This was my 2nd Wintec and I was not as happy with it as I was my older close contact model. A non-adjustable tree and when Wintec says it's a WIDE, they really mean it. It fits barrel-shaped Andalusians & QHs just fine, but any regular size horse suffers discomfort. The equisuede seat and flaps were nice for security, giving you that 'sticky' feel in the seat, but I found it also had the disadvantage of limiting my leg movement. The one thing I hated about this saddle was that the flaps are sewn together as one piece, meaning you can't use a regular saddle pad with it. So your pad never stays in place. The ease of care is a big factor with Wintecs, not having to saddle soap them or oil them. And I love the fact that they are so lightweight. If you buy one though, plan on taking it to a saddlemaker and having those darned flaps split like I did. That's the worst design flaw Wintec ever came up with.
